Fall break is the perfect time for a little scientific adventure. Come discover the secrets of fall at the “Mysteries of Fall” workshop, which will take place on October 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at SteelPark.

Why do leaves turn yellow, orange, or red? What secrets do they hide? And could an ordinary autumn leaf have anything to do with chemistry, physics, or electricity?

The workshop will feature a series of experiments and creative activities that will allow participants to look at familiar fall phenomena from a slightly different angle. They’ll explore, observe, experiment, and search for answers to questions that may seem quite simple at first glance.

One of the topics will be the plant pigments hidden in leaves. Through hands-on experiments, participants will discover what happens to them during fall and why nature changes its color palette.

And the mysteries of fall don’t end there. Static electricity, heat, air movement, and other fascinating natural phenomena will come into play. You may be familiar with some of the experiments, while others might be a pleasant surprise.

The workshop will also include a creative activity that combines scientific knowledge with manual dexterity and imagination.

The mysteries of fall will show that even an ordinary leaf can be the start of a great adventure.
