Theatre 13. opona: Mom died twice
The 13th Curtain Theatre cheers up more than one audience member with the black comedy Momma Died Twice, about a family whose immense legacy opens the door to absurd controversies, ulterior motivations and unexpected humour. She'll be performing in front of an audience at Historic Town Hall on November 4, 2026 at 7:00 pm.
The head of a wealthy family, Amalia, an aging, egocentric narcissist, unexpectedly takes off into the next world. Relatives from all corners of the country begin to gather for her funeral, just to show how much they mourn for their 'loved' one.
The body hasn't even had time to cool properly, but it has already attracted a flock of vultures who call themselves 'The Family'. Everyone wants to grab their little slice of the fairy heritage pie. And when else should a family quarrel if not on such a fervent occasion. Old traumas and hurts are brought up, and gradually we discover the impact the toxic Amalia had on the personalities and characters of her children.
