How do people who are deafblind perceive the world? What barriers do they face in their daily lives, and what would help them live more fulfilling lives? The Photo Voice project provides answers by using photographs to give voice to their own experiences, needs, and perspectives on the world.

People who are deafblind face many barriers that can limit their opportunities and lead to feelings of isolation. However, their needs and experiences often remain largely invisible to the general public. The goal of the exhibition is therefore to shed light on these everyday challenges, raise awareness about deafblindness, and foster a better understanding.

The photographs in this project are not merely visual depictions of everyday life. They represent the way in which the participants express their needs, identify problems, and draw attention to the barriers they encounter. Each photograph is accompanied by a quote that explains its meaning and helps visitors better understand what lies behind a particular image.

The exhibition invites visitors to see the world from the perspective of people who are deafblind and to reflect on how greater understanding can contribute to a more accessible and inclusive environment for everyone.
