National Olympic Swimming Centre Košice

The iconic building of the former Municipal Swimming Pool from 1977 by the architect Ján Šprlák-Uličný has underwent a revolutionary reconstruction in 2025. Behind the reconstruction is the initiative of the City of Košice, which has decided to create a National Olympic Swimming Centre in the city with the fulfilled criteria of the International Swimming Federation FINA. From September 2025, the state-of-the-art swimming disciplines complex with a 50-metre Olympic-sized swimming pool dedicated to professional athletes and the general public in Slovakia will be located near the centre of the city.
